The Social Media Breakfast Montreal brings people together to meet, share, and learn about what kind of digital efforts can help make our businesses and personal brands successful online.
The Montreal chapter of the Social Media Breakfast has been active since December 2009. Each event has seen 50+ attendees – all eager to contribute, share and help one another develop business, nurture clients and better employ social media strategies.
We’ve been fortunate enough to partner up with Dana Elsliger of La Bistrote who ensures that the best food and coffee keeps the conversation rolling.
We look forward to a bright future here in the Great White North and will proudly represent the phenomenon that is the SMB!
Organized by Jeff Taylor, from Neteyecon, and Luis London, from Yellow Pages Group. Audio and video supply and management by Phil Leithead of Tux Productions and Community Management by Natalie Riviere from Virtual Resources.
More than 15 years of experience on Web Design & Branding. Involved in Social Media projects since 2012. Luis has participated in the development of new projects, thanks to his analytic method of working, his entrepreneurial spirit as well as his public relations.
He co-organizes the Social Media Breakfast and Social MEEX, two well-known Montreal networking events featuring guest speakers. Luis is passionate about photography, cooking, public relations and social business.
Natalie ‘s background is deeply rooted in social business. Her life long participation in a green family company and extensive studies in commerce, including a BCOMM with the John Molson School of Business, nourished her entrepreneurial tendencies. A DEP in Artistic Make Up, Yoga teaching Accreditation, and Certificate in Plant Based Nutrition, transformed her hobbies into jobs and gave her experience working independently.
Natalie realized that her background in business gave her a strong advantage amongst her peers, as there is often little to no entrepreneurship training in most professional educational programs. She then began a mission to empower her community with the tools, education, and support required for them to be their ultimate selves as a career and help create the change they want to see in the world.
This led her to establish what is now called Virtual Resources where she helps small businesses and entrepreneurs make waves.
As the humble founder of the Social Media Breakfast Montreal, Jeff realizes more and more with each passing day that good friends, family, and a network of willing and able professionals and experts are necessary for much, if not all successes he hopes to achieve both personally and professionally.
“You will get all you want in life, if you help enough other people get what they want.” – Zig Ziglar
A people person, Jeff worked most of his teenage years in retail and the fast food industry. A chance rugby referral lead to a job in the field of process equipment and machinery. A field within which Jeff has worked on and off for the past 20 years, holding job titles such as Shipping/Receiving, Assembler, Inside Sales, Purchaser, Technical Representative, and for the last 10 years or so Regional Sales Manager for a global equipment manufacturer.
A good friend and former business partner turned him on to the web and design in the mid-2000’s, and thanks to that introduction Jeff’s been fortunate enough to learn and subsequently launch web design and development firms, as well as specialty SEO companies.
A 20 year veteran of the Champion Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue Rugby Football Club and devoted father of 3 and husband to Jennifer, he looks forward to many more years of great friend-making within the #SMBMTL. Oh, and some good business too…
