RECAP of the 6th Social Media Breakfast Montreal
|RECAP – Social Media Breakfast – Montreal #6Held January 19th, 2011 @ La Bistrote
|The Social Media Breakfast Montreal is happy to have held its (#SMBMTL) holding it’s 6th event this past January 19th at La Bistrote Cafe/Bistro in beautiful Griffintown, Montreal. What can we say? The event was an epic success with over 60+ attendees – many of which stormed the door thinking they could pay there…lesson learned: “Sold Out” doesn’t mean the same to me as it may some other people. We packed the place and I’m sure were better off for it, but the additional people meant standing room for some, and perhaps a bit less food for each as Chef Dana’s goods got gobbled up pretty quick as usual.
Our LinkedIn group is growing at a rapid clip and we now count over 300 members. While a slow start in terms of discussions and interaction plagued the early days of the group, I think that many members are slowly realizing that the group represents a highly targeted demographic of local and like-minded folk with whom to network and perhaps even collaborate on future projects.
Topics covered were:
Publishers, SEO and Social Media Tools – by CT Moore
CT has uploaded his presentation to Slideshare which can be viewed here: CT Slideshare Presentation
